Another earthquake in Japan
I saw this on the news, too. So sad and tragic. I just hope that the tsunami dies out and doesn't hit the coast.

I just finished reading about the shooting at the elementary school as well. Not sure why anyone would want to harm innocent children. As for Japan, hopefully no one was injured in the earthquake and that the tsunami warning is just that, a warning. I don't know how they can endure much more. We take so much for granted, I for one am guilty of this on a daily basis. My life is wonderful today and I'm glad to be here!

The tsunami warning has been cancelled. My friends just got their power back a few minutes ago, so it was out 12-14hrs. Other than the power outage, this seems to be a business as usual quake for northern Japan. They get a lot of quakes that would make the news in other parts of the world but have relatively little effect locally.
On a sad note, they found the body of the Rikuzentakata english teacher yesterday. Monty was a good guy; I had met him a few times. I thought everybody had been accounted for so it was an unhappy surprise to hear about the find.
