I decided to try the new McCain Ultra Thin Pizza tonight and it was soooooooooooooo good!  I bought the spinach and provolone and it had a lot of flavour.  1/4 of the pizza has 16 carbs, so for me that was not too bad.  I was able to eat half the pizza at supper and not feel like I overdid it with my carbs.

We tried it last week but were disappointed in the flavour.  The Ristorante spinach one is much more flavourful.  I'd get McCain's in a pinch but that's it.

I've never tried the thin crust, pizza usually fills me up after a tiny slice that i don't usually eat it.

I've been making the protein pizza and my family loves it so much I rarely have leftovers and best of all, no carb guilt....

if you're interested check it out. DELICIOUS...

J where can I find the recipe for protein pizza?  I'm just starting soft foods and would die for any kind of pizza.  This sounds perfect.
Thanks
Cindy

Brok's Cheese Crust Pizza

Thin and Crispy Pizza Crust
Heat oven to 450 degrees
In a bowl thoroughly combine
3 eggs
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
press evenly into Pam sprayed pizza pan or cookie sheet
(this makes one 16 inch pizza crust)
Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown (about 10 to 15 minutes)

Here is what your crust looks like after baking

It will completely lift off your cookie sheet. I patted the grease off of it, but that step is optional

add toppings of your choice

This one has the following toppings~

1/4 cup low carb marinara
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
2 links Italian sausage (browned and crumbled)
1/4 cup sliced back olives

After adding toppings, run the pizza under the broiler until cheese is melted and toppings are bubbly

thin crust is the ONLY way to eat pizza after WLS...the rest is just a waste..filling up with bread is IMO silly!
