Following up on referral?

Just a quick question for those that have been there. My family doctor sent my referral to the bariatric registry last week. I just want to follow up to ensure it has been received.
Should I just call them up? 

Based on my postal code I would be referred to Guelph but I'm trying to have that changed to Hamilton. My doctor requested on my referral that I be sent to Hamilton but I'm not sure that will be enough.

What should my next step be?

Below is what I have written to them via email and I have always received a reply, even though they send you an auto-reply I always get another email confirming whether or not they have received my referral.  I think it is because I have provided enough info.  You can find there email on the bariatric site under the contact tab.  Good Luck!  I transferred mine out of Guelph as well, I went to TWH and I will be playing the waiting game as well.  I transferred my once it reached Guelph and they said that they would forward it back to the registry and the registry would forward it onto TWH.

Thanks for the response. I have sent them an e-mail and left a phone message too, just in case.

I am a little anxious to make sure my referral goes through ok so I can start the process. The last time I was referred to a specialist I found out 6 months later that my referral didn't go through, so I had to start all over again.

Once I am on the list, I will be very relieved!

Just an update - I was able to get in touch with the registry today and they confirmed they received it and sent it to Guelph. I called Guelph and spoke with Linda, and she was able to forward my referral directly onto HRRH. It was really easy, I'm so glad I called and followed up.
