THEY CALLED !!!!!
Seems like Ottawa is really trying to pick up the pace I had my surgery appointment with Dr Raiche Yesterday and got a phone call this AM. My surgery is MONDAY NOVEMEBER 7 with Dr Yelle!!! I start optifast on Monday!
Whats funny is that I live in an apt and didn't want the boxes of optifast sitting around in the way for weeks so I said I would pick it up when I got the call looks like I'm heading back to the clinic tomorrow on my lunch hour, luckily I work 5 minutes from the hospital!
I'm so excited I've been telling everyone lol but now that its settling i'm realizing how much i have to do and buy to get ready !!!

I've been waiting anxiously and checking my voicemail several times a day. Called the WMC a few times and I keep getting told "Shouldn't be too much longer.". I'm climbing the walls here.
Sorry to hijack the post, but I have a question about Ottawa for people who are further along in the process..... Once you get that first appointment after your orientation, do things speed up a little bit???? Or will I be waiting another 8 months after that for my next appointment.

It goes pretty quick once you get that appointment . I had mine June 13th and Surgery Nov 7 and it will only be a month between my education class and surgery. The wait is so difficult, it totally consumes your life. Just keep checking in with the clinic, someone posted recently that they are trying to get the process under 9 months from referral to surgery so you'll benefit from them trying to speed it up
