Who did you bring to orientation??

Just curious, I have my orientation in Ottawa November 4, and the paperwork says you can bring 1 support person, of course I asked my hubby to come but he thinks he'll be the only guy there. Like its an obgyn office or something, lol. Also had it in my head I would volunteer to transfer to Humber since I have family there and the wait times have looked alot better but looks like this has changed. Anybody been a a very recent orientation in Ottawa where they discussed the Humber option.

My hubby has been with me from the start and he continues to come to my appointments and he is supportive 100%, he is my biggest and best friend and supporter etc

Hi there, no one ever mentioned bringing a support person to mine (I was in Ottawa too), so I went alone. It was just fine! Good luck in your process! Sorry, that was over two years ago and I don't know anything about recent activity.

Mine was in Ottawa as well, i took my hubby. there was a few husbands their, as well as a few men thier for orintation. Tell him not to worry, he wont be the only man in the room. Godd luck

I brought my sister and sister-in-law. I went through Humber & they didn't limit the # of people we could bring. They came to all my other appts/classes as well.

There were A LOT of men in the classes - both as patients & support people. Your husband likely won't be the only man there.

My hubby came with me to all my appointments. There were more men there than I thought there would be. Many going for surgery too. Atually my hubby had more questions than other there for their orientation.

They actually encourage your spouse to come.

My hubby came to my orientation. Of 12-ish patients, most had at least one support person and there were 2 other husbands.

i was at ottawa orientation in august 19th i took my mother ...they did talk about humber and how it would cut off wait time ,,,but heard that ottawa is getting a little faster ,,i asked to be transfered to humber , havent heard a thing yet

I went to orientationin Ottawa on Sept 28, 2011 and brought my boyfriend. There was many husbands with the wives. They did not talk about humber when I was there
