I feel your pain. I had terrible trouble too. Someone suggested probiotics, but I found they didn't work. I eventually got some Acilac syrup (lactulose). You have to ask the pharmacist for it. It got things moving-still took a day or two. Once that worked I switched to Restoralax or Laxaday, but had to take it religiously to stay regular. I am fine now and haven't needed anything in a few months. My biggest mistake was trying too many different options. Believe me I tried them all.

I hope you find something that solves your problem. Nothing worse than being bunged up. It makes you feel like crap-literally.

That's the thing, I say constipated but that's actually not right because I go almost every day.  It just takes from 30min to an hour to result in a dozen or so of pebbles, but the force and pain I go through, that's whats killing me...lol

Maybe you should cut out the cheese for awhile, as it can be constipating.

Try some prune juice or eating prunes as your fruit portions.

Good Luck!

I take Natural Calm once a week to make sure everything continus to work and everything gets out regularly, if I do not seem to be going enough.
You can buy it at a health food store, here is some information on constipation
www.calmnatural.com/constipation-relief
I brought it with me to Nicaragua and know it will help me since I have a hard time getting fresh produce, but hopefully that will change when I can get a lady to shop with me.
Have the plunger ready.

My son had mega bowel when he was little and he filled the hospital toilet when he had an enema once to empty himself. He ended up taking 8 milk of magnesia pills a day. The specialist said it was okay for him to use to help him go poop for his bowel to heal. He said we wouldn`t believe how many children have this problem.

Read how cheese does bung you up. Sorry

wow, your poor son, and especially if he's too young to understand what's going on.
I know about cheese...lol...the only reason I have a hard time understand why it would now is that, in my old eating days, I would eat an entire bag a day and I was never even close, but of course with this surgery, everything can change.  I'll have to cut it :(

When you take any fibre pills or powder you really need to make sure you drink a lot of fluids or it will constipate you. Maybe try cutting back the number of pills but upping the fluids. It sounds like you are going to need to clean things out good and then try something to take daily to keep it regular. I find Milk of Magnesia is the best to get things out. I think you can take 1 tbsp every hour until you go but double check with your pharmacist.

Yeah, I didn't tell it right, I'm not constipated, I go every day, read above in the thread, the first person I replied, I explained more...my bad for explaining a bit wrong.

and with the pills, I probably drink at least 1 and a half glass, plus my day...I think I'm ok with liquids but man oh man...lol
