Hard time eating during the warm weather
I'm having a hard time eating lately. It's so nice and warm all I want to do is drink and I'm having some issues eating my meals. Does anyone else have this problem? Since surgery I've had zero appetite so mixed with the hot weather it's not been the best week for me. I worry about not getting enough protein. How much protein should I be eating a day at almost 6 months out?
You should be aiming for 75g of protein per day. Try protein shakes if all you want to do is drink. The humidity really affects my ability to eat as well, so I supplement.

I love the weather minus the humidity. I drink a Premier protein shake every morning to make sure I get enough.

Hot is nice humid is a whole other beast. I was drinking my shake every morning until the dietician told me I should stop and try to eat instead. I do find the Premier shakes very filling but it will be better for me now than not eating anything for breakfast or lunch etc. I'm putting some in the fridge now for the morning.
Hey, you have to do what you gotta do. I`m in the same boat.

at my one month post-op appointment this past Wednesday I was told your protein needs are based on your weight and if you want to find out how much protein your body needs do this.....
take your weight in pounds divide it by 2.2 that will give you your weight in kilograms than take your weight in kilograms and multiple it by 0.8 and it will give you the grams of protein your body needs at each step of the way because as you lose weight your body won't need as much protein.
