Optifast - Covered through HSA

Just a note for anyone with an HSA - I was able to get my Optifast fully covered. My HSA (health spending account) is through my work benefits with Manulife. I had $420 in there to spend this benefits year, and was able to take out $300 to cover the full cost of the Opti. It took a while (I submitted it back in May when I bought it and it was just approved now), but they finally approved it and reimbursed me.

If you have an HSA option through your work benefits - seriously think about working this into your benefit credits!

Yep, $100 a week and lucky me got to do 3 weeks so $300 total! I know some other clinics sell it for a bit less than $100 week.

It always depends on the centre you are with.  There are no hard and fast rules about ANYTHING in Ontario :)

I still think $100 a week is a pretty good deal. That is 21 meals or 28 meals if you consider you are eating four times a day.  That is $3.50 a meal.  Coffee at Starbucks is that expensive.  You add one fast food meal and that could be almost 3 times that price.
