TWH Cancellations for Surgeons appt?

Has anyone been successfull getting their Surgeon's appt moved up by cancellations? I'm booked for October 26th but that seems like such a long way away....

May 25th, 2012 - Referral June 27th, 2012 - Orientation July 10th,2012 - NP
July 16th, 2012 - SW July 18th, 2012 - nut class July 19th, 2012 - dietician Sept 21st, 2012 - surgeon appt Oct 18th, 2012 - scope Dec 13th,2012 Patts Jan 16th, 2013 -SURGERY!!!

I'm with TWH also and my app. Is 5 Oct. 3 months from my last app. Yes it seems so far away so I was calling at first and they advised me that at this stage not many ppl cancel! If they get cancellations, they call the ppl from the following week! Good luck with trying though!
I just saw how fast you've gone through already! I've started this process over 1 year ago!
so really you have not had much of a wait! Lucky you!

I've been trying for awhile now, and no luck (got my August 17th date back in late May).

It can't hurt to try and call, but I was told the same as Vi-Vi - very few cancellations at this stage of the game!

I know it feels like forever...

One of the ladies who answers the phone there said to keep calling and see if there's any cancellations, that they don't mind but another who answered said they rarely get cancellations and if they do they will call. I want to call occassionally and just ask if they've gotten any cancellations but don't want to step on any toes lol!

I don't think it could hurt by calling! You must reside near by and that's one of the benefits! Squeaky wheel gets the oil!! Lol. Seems like 3 month wait time to see the surgeon!
Ive booked my flight now so I've stopped calling! Best of luck to you!

I tried by calling but didn't get anywhere with it.

Doesn't hurt at all to keep trying though !

That is actually a quick process, I'm jealous! I was referred in June and don't have an orientation class until January...

Chelsea, did you try calling to put your name on a cancellation list? I would if I was you as there are cancellations at that stage! Good luck!
