Omg girl, you are not a failure. What you are feeling is normal, and so is having a stall. I just went through my first stall, and what you wrote is exactly how I was feeling a couple weeks ago. Today I wrote a blogpost that explains how I feel now, having survived my first stall. I hope this doesn't sound too hokey to you... but a stall is sort of like a rite of passage. Your body needs this stall. It needs to catch up to all the changes. And, if you keep following the rules and doing everything right, as best you can, you will find that damn scale will start to move again. I actually had to remove the battery from my digital scale so I would stop letting that damn number make me crazy. I was weighing myself so much that I watch the scale actually go up by 1.2lbs! I was exactly where you are a couple weeks ago... and after I survived my first stall, my weight dropped almost 5lbs in one week. Your body will resume losing and catch up your enthusiams eventually. I promise!

No, I certainly don't mind you asking. I am 6.5 months post op, and the fact that I didn't hit my first stall until the 6 month mark is pretty rare actually.... I got lucky...had a few weeks where the scale only dropped 1lb or....0.6lbs... but I counted them as losses and kept going... but my first full on 3 week stall started at just before I reached 6 months post-op.

Aw Brigitte, don't feel sad - you're being too hard on yourself.  I had my first stall when I was 2 months post-op &^ it lasted for a couple of weeks. I think that it was just my body making certain "adjustments" as I think of them - lol. Remember that getting to our goal weight is an ongoing process and it may take a while for you to get there. You are definitely not "failing" at losing weight - you doing it slowly and safely. I have a feeling that you will soon be posting, very happily, that the scales have started moving for you again. For now, stop beating yourself up & look at how well you've done so far. Remember, Brigitte, that the scale doesn't always tell the whole story. You may be losing fat & gaining muscle. Hope you feel better about things.
