Newbie here!
Hi everyone!
Just had my first appointment today with the dietician. So now my journey begins! Next step, endoscopy and colonoscopy. Not really looking forward to these tests, but I know they are necessary so I will cowboy up and do them with a smile. Weighed in at 319 lbs, and although it really upset me to see this number, I'm very much looking forward to seeing that number drop! I will be reading this forum religiously and hope to gain from your experiences and tips as I go through this journey on the way to good health and a better lifestyle!
Thanks, Terry Smith

You should track your dates in your signature (and read other's signatures) it will give you an idea of timelines at the different centers.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find many helpful and kind ladies and gents here. Speaking from experience, I would not have been so calm and assured about my journey to WLS were it not for this forum. Don't be afraid to ask any question, it's almost guaranteed that someone will have gone through the same thing or know where to send you for answers. There are many people who have had their surgeries 3 or more years ago and they're always about.
All the best as you walk your path and see you around :)

Welcome Terry. You are so right about seeing that dreaded number on the scale....for me it was 380 lbs.
Just remember that like all diet programs, you need to be mindful of what you are eating....yes, for life. You need to take your vitamin supplements and drink at least 2 litres of liquid per day. The weight will come off, then stall, come off and then slow down, etc. It is not a straight line to goal weight.
Good luck in your journey.
