New to this

Hi there my name is Kathie and I just got my app't with the surgeon on Jan 4th. Could someone tell me how long after this app't that I would have the surgery?

its difficult to say,, different centres have different wait times. Have you done all of  your appointments?

I am in Ottawa.  I had my surgeon appt on November 8, 2011 and they called me the next morning with a surgery date of December 12, 2011.  I did 3 weeks of Optifast.

It depends where you are, too, unfortunately. I had my appt with surgeon Sept 20th & am still waiting for a surgery date almost 2 months later. I swear my life (& my emotions!) revolve around that little flashing red light on the answering machine...the anticipation when I get home from work...the excitement when it actually is flashing!!!! The disappointment when it's anybody but the hospital to book my surgery... :(

Been patient up till now but I can't believe how impatient I have become!!!

p.s...I am in Thunder Bay & will be having my surgery at St Joe's in Hamilton as we don't have a surgeon here. They do "take care of their own" first & we from T Bay receive only a small percentage of the surgical dates.

So the waiting will continue.....

July 18, 2012 - orientation
August 26 - Social worker and nurse practionaire
September 18 - group nutritionist
November 5 - one on one nutritionlist
November 6 - physicitrist
January 4 th - surgeon

I'm so excited

I seen on here that there is a group meeting on December 1 at the Pump and Patio in Clarkson would I be able to come o this ?
