Running my longest race tomorrow

Reading over all these posts again, brought a tear to my eye. What a supportive group of people here. You all said poignant things that I needed to hear.

I thank you all.

The official results are not in, but I know I did not finish last. At about 2km there was a sickening pop noise and searing pain in my left hip. I kept going, walking the uphills. I finished in approx 1hour 4 min. I'm home now, in a world of hurt but so happy I finished. I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow.. lol. Instead of being upset about the injury or how it affected my time, I'm looking forward to next year, to see how much better I can do when I don't have a burned face, popped hip and strep throat. Never thought I'd have a sports injury to moan about. Will follow up with the dr if rest and ice do  not help.
