vsg in canada

Has anyone from the states went to canada for the vsg?  I was thinking of Mexico but I live in the middle of the mitten Michigan  Ontario would make much more sense to me..

what are your thoughts on this and how much did you pay for your surgery?

Just a thought... anyone who is from Ontario likely had OHIP pay for this and most people on this particular forum are from Ontario.   I am thinking you should also post this question on the RNY forum -- there are lots more on that forum who are from the states and might be able to answer your question on costs etc.

You can't self pay for a VSG in Ontario.  The closest you could get a VSG would be in Quebec.  There are a few bariatric surgeons there that do VSG.  Dr Christou and Dr. Gagner are both in Montreal and both offer self pay.

If you are in MI, why don't you go to Dr. Poplawski at Barix, in Ypsilanti?  I had mine done there.  He is awesome!
