Prilosec following surgery

I got a script for Prilosec following my surgery. Since I don't have a drug plan I opted not to buy the dissolvable ones since it will run $150 a month.
The other option is in a capsule that can be opened but it does have granules inside. The pharmacist said it's ok to use this way but I was wondering if any of you have experience with this issue?

I take the dissoluble one but 2 of my friends take the capsule and it works fine for them .
