Hi.  I bought Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies!!  It was really great.  It explains the different types of surgery, what to expect in the hospital, it has recipes....it is a great reference.  I still used the literature from the clinic regarding Opti and for the food stages post surgery (the book differs from the clinic's literature in some respects).  The book also touches on post-surgical issues, like returning to work, dealing with people who disagree with your choice, etc....

J bought "The Complete Weight Loss Surgery Guide and Cookbook" after it was recommended to me by a couple others and find it helpful... talks a lot about the steps leading to, the actual surgery, life afterwards and also includes plenty of recipes.

I found the book "The real skinny on weight loss surgery" was recommended by my centre. It is written by 2 women and the surgeon. A very good read. Written in easy light language. Has a sense of humor and yet was quite honest in terms of the good, the bad and the ugly.

i also got the book Nicole recommends above
