1 year surgaversary!
Oh my how the time flies when you are out living life....
This year has gone by so quickly and its hard to believe it was a year ago today that my life changed in so many amazing ways when I was given the best gift, the gift of health and a second chance at life. This year has been full of ups and downs, I have had my moments of omg what the heck did I do and buyers remorse in the first few weeks post op which from what I read is quite normal but looking back now I am so thankful and I regret not choosing to have this surgery years ago. I no longer have high blood pressure or diabetes, I can keep up with my kids, I can do things I have not been able to do in many many years and I even celebrate what some people would call little things like being able to wear knee high boots, being able to bend over to paint my toe nails, being able to bend over to shave my legs without becoming tired or out of breath, being able to wrap a normal size towel around myself or walk up a flight of stairs without turning red and sweating. I now like to shop because I have options instead of having to buy what fits, I like having my picture taken and now have many family photos and have made some new family memories in the last year that I would not have been able to make without having the surgery.
Words can not even begin to express how grateful I am and will always be for my RNY.

patience let's be realistic here, you won't drop two jean sizes in one day, you won't lose fifty pounds in one month, you're going to binge every now and then, you will go a day or two without working out, your weight is going to fluctuate here and there, you're going to try new techniques and they're not always going to work, you're a human being, you're going to fail from time to time but nothing great is ever accomplished without a few obstacles, JUST KEEP GOING.
