What's next?

I have my surgical class scheduled for Thuraday....do they repeat to us the information we have been learning already? what's next and what's the general time frame to the next step?

I am not entirely sure what your surgical class is? Is that the orientation? Which hospital are you going through? They are all very different.

Windsor regional hospital is where the surgical class is...then eventually off to Toronto at some point

My orientation was November 2012. I've done all my tests and ex-rays, sleep study and so on. I had the go ahead from the social worker, dietitian, and doctor. Now I have to go to a "surgical education class"

Sounds like your pre op class, its basically a break down of what u already know but a bit more of what to expect after. What u can eat after at what stage, I am through Kingston surgery at HRRH. We received a booklet with info, like a guide really. It was pretty good info. Suggestions for protein shakes after, what opti is like what to expect....every center is different but I would guess thats what you should expect. 

I am not that far along but I am looking forward to hearing how it all goes for you. I am through Windsor as well and I have my next set of appointments to be through, hopefully with a green light by mid Aug. When do you see the physio therapist?

From reading about what others have obtained, they may give you more detail about appointments and possibly some diet plans as well as all the rest we have already been learning.

Physio is July 22nd....they did tell me that my paperwork has been sent to Toronto and that my physio appointnent will not have any influence as to when surgery will be scheduled. I don't know if that applies to everyone.
