Cycling, walking, kayaking all in a weekend's fun!
This weekend my hubby and I are taking a mini vacation in Niagara Falls. Today we cycled 22 km and walked 4 km. Tomorrow we have kayaks rented for 2 hours and more cycling. Topping off our day tomorrow is dinner reservation and tickets to a play at Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake. On Monday we are going to do more cycling in Niagara on the Lake.
What a difference a year makes! There is no way I could have done one day of this activity, never mind the whole weekend.
Love my RNY! Living life the way it was meant to be and with my favorite person - hubby!
Look at you go girl! That's wonderful:) Enjoy your weekend, it sounds divine:)

The race isn't given to the swift nor the strong, but it's given to the ones who endure it to the end...
Congratulations, sounds like you're having a great time! I'd love to try kayaking, but I've been procrastinating about looking into getting a lesson and renting a kayak. I really need to do that, but I just haven't had time lately. Glad you're getting so much activity in!

My first time kayaking was last week. My brother-in-law let me use his at the cottage last week. Seriously - you don't need lessons. It is not complex at all. My husband had only gone once before too. We both loved it. After renting the kayaks yesterday and doing the river here we have decided we are going to buy our own kayaks either this fall or next spring. We will rent probably again in August or September so we can try different ones out to determine the style of kayak we like.
Just go for it! Rent and try! Any reputable place will give you an orientation once you tell them you have never gone before. Just don't recommend you hit white water rapids first time out! Lol. Yesterday the water was choppy and we had the wind against us for the whole hour and a half. It was a challenge to keep paddling and keep kayak facing the right way with the water currents too. But it was a blast and a great workout. A great way to see some wonderful scenery.
Seriously if you ate within a couple hours drive of Niagara Falls or Niagara on the Lake. You can make a day trip out if all the trails or kayaking.
