Ketosis?

I know when we do the Opti-Fast prior to surgery our bodies go into ketosis.  Will this continue after the surgery as well?

Yes. I don't know all the science of it but from what I understand it will continue until you are consuming more calories than you burn. I am 17 weeks out and still have that gross ketosis taste in my mouth. Sugar free breath mints or Listerine strips are still on the menu. 

I am sure someone else will post the details of ketosis.

I am 10 weeks post op and it recently started with me. I tried a greens vitamin but i could not keep it down. its horrible, tastes like im drinking mouth wash GROSS. So im gonna go back to health store and find something else to help.
