Waiting for Post-OP class Guelph

We're waiting to hear when my DH is scheduled for Guelph Post-Op, been waiting for almost 2 months. Originally told end of Sept, just called and now it 'may' be early November... Hopefully this will get sorted soon - so close and yet so far... :-)

Anyone been to Guelph Post-Op and know what time of day they usually hold them? We'll need to arrange daycare and such :-)

Mine was be there for 2 to be weighed and receive a some paperwork then the class was at 2:30.

when was he cleared? I was cleared 2 weeks ago and I was told it would probably be January for post op.

Interesting. I was cleared in mid-August, and they gave me no information about when the post-op class would be--just told me to wait for the call...

When I was at Guelph last month, I was told I needed one more hoop from the social worker but I would be "cleared" by next appointment which is Oct 2nd. They said the wait could be 3 months for a post-op class after that. :/

There doesn't seem to be any consistency -- I was cleared at the end of August and told it would be up to 8 weeks before the class. Has anyone had experience in calling the Guelph office to get more information ... what I mean is can you call and ask how many people are ahead of you?

I checked my calendar - and DH was 'cleared' just over 3 months ago... so to still be waiting for a Post-Op class date is frustrating... We did place two calls, one after about 6 weeks had gone by and another one today to find out if the end of September date had been 'firmed' up. We didn't ask how many people were ahead of us, just when DH was 'tentatively' scheduled for... Disappointed that end of September was no longer a possibility and a lot surprised at the new *tentative* date in early October... Ready for a firm date :-)

Thanks all... You can 'just call' reception, but they do encourage patience... I think we are being overly patient :-)

I got the same " tentatively" date in Oct too... I am also just over 3 months waiting. Hope they firm up the date soon.
