Good morning everyone. Enjoy your dinner out, Barb.
Full day today - training all day at work despite having three urgent items sitting on my desk. Can't stay late tonight to get them done because I have an art class after work, and I swore to myself that I would not miss these classes due to work. So I won't. (But I might show up a bit late for class...we'll see.)
Got a new fitbit (just arrived last night) because I lost my old one a few weeks ago and I was missing not being able to track my steps. I'm sure the old one will turn up somewhere, but I searched high and low for it in the house, including every article of clothing I own, or so it seemed. So I guess once the old one turns up, I'll just give it away or something. I want to start making a daily goal and trying to reach it. 10,000 steps might be a bit of a steep goal, simply because of busyness, but I'll set it and if I don't reach it, I won't beat myself up.

B - Premier Protein shake
S - 1 oz roasted chick peas and a MacIntosh apple
L - Not sure - will get something with decent protein at the cafeteria today, whatever they're serving.
S - 1 oz blue cheese, 4 Vinta crackers
D - Good question. Not sure, will be running from work to school, so I'll probably grab something with protein on the way.
S - 1 glass of skim milk
No totals since the food is up in the air for lunch and supper. Have a great day, everyone!

Lesson learned from yesterday "Even though you are busy at work, take the time to eat slowly". Chicken salad had me foaming at the mouth, the bathroom was busy and no privacy. Thankfully my desk is a little more private... but gawd.. NEVER AGAIN.
I got to work today and found that there was breakfast here with BACON... oh how I love bacon and frittata and potatoes and all this wonderful stuff. BUT - I resisted and kept to what I brought.
B - Pudding with protein powder - why? Who said pudding was only for snacks? :)
S - Laughing cow and melba
L - turkey Spinach meatball
S- undecided right now
D- Chilli
S - 1/2 banana

WOW!!!
"Totals - 1,907 calories, 114g carbs, 85g fat, 178g protein"
How in the world do you get all that in??? 178g of protein?? I have read that our bodies can't absorb more than 120g per day...I learned that in one of my monthly WLS meetings!
I'm 3yrs out and STILL can't eat more than 1400-1500 cals per day... I don't understand...
Also... Why soo much foods at snacks?? What is the serving sizes of things you are eating??? I couldn't pOssibly eat thAt much food at one time.
We even have the same surgeon and centre... :o What does Katie or Lorraine or Mary say about this much intake? I'm curious to know... I am honestly not being rude... I just don't get it
BELOW GOAL Happily maintaining 4.5 years out!! Life is GREAT!!! Had my plastic surgery!
I think she can get it all in because she is an exercise MACHINE :)
I was puzzled when I looked at her stuff before then I read some of her comments and post.
Lady is a exercise machine.. totally admire her.
So with all her running and etc her body is burning off and needs more maybe.
She got to goal in less then a year, so she must be doing something right. haha.
I be interested to know how she knew what was right for her and her balance. Im pre op and amazed at how this journey is so different for everyone.
As Manda mentioned, I do exercise a lot - 10KM runs 3 times per week, yoga or biking on the in between days.
Lorraine is fine with my intake as she actually wants me to stop losing weight - at 5 foot 10 and 160 lbs I actually look kind of gaunt right now. So I don't need to go any lower. I do need to cut back on the protein supplements to maybe a bar or a shake, as that number is too high. I have just been so busy and protein shakes/bars are convenient.
I'm also less than a year out so am still malabsorping - I am sure that at some point I will need to lower my intake as my body continues to adjust.
If you search on 1800 or 2000 calories in the search bar, you'll see lots of posters on the RNY board who maintain their weight at these calories.
I know you said you didn't mean to be rude, but this really has upset me. I've been a daily poster in this thread for almost a year, but now I think I will be walking away from it for awhile. I come here for support, not judgement.
