Just Beginning!!!
Hi all ,
I'm new to OH and this is my first posting.
My step towards weight loss was not an easy one. Like you I have tried many programs and joined many a gyms with full determination to lose weight. I have had some success but always gained it back. Surfing through the net in late October /12 looking for some hope when I came across the Bariatric Registry. My doctor was supportive and she sent in my referral. My journey with TWGH started on January 7/13 (Orientation) and on October 25 I met with the surgeon Dr. Cyriac who gave me my surgery date of February 4/14. My surgery will be at Toronto East General with Dr. Mary-anne Aarts.
I am extremely happy but a the same time I'm very nervous about well everything.
My mother had Gastric bypass aprox 25 years ago, other than her I don't know anyone who has had any relations to this process so I feel pretty much alone. Don't get me wrong I have great support from my family and friends but I am reaching out to others who are going through or have gone through the Roux-en-y process. Support is important and I am open to all.
Thank you
Philippa
