The first of many NSV!!!
My daughter Jen & I had our surgeries (July 13 & Oct 13). Last week we went down south for follow up appts with Sudbury clinic. Usually when we buy our train tickets we make sure that we don't sit together cause we are too squished!! We were able to sit together with room to spare!! Then we went to the movies and always left a seat between us for comfort...not this time...we were able to sit together in complete comfort!!! This journey is amazing...and we are excited to experience things as never before!!!
Orientation - Feb. 19 & 20/13 - NP,Nut, Psych, - Mar. 14/13 - Sleep Study - Mar. 24/13 - OTN with Dr. Sullivan - June 28/13 On my way!!! Preop Sept 25/13 - SURGERY OCTOBER 22/13!!!!!!!!

Referral Date: May 29, 2012; TWH Orientation: June 19,2012; Nurse Practitioner Group Session and Social Worker Initial Assessment: September 25, 2012; Nurse Practitioner One-on-One and Psych. Assessment: January 18, 2013; Met with surgeon: March 8, 2013; Pre-Op scheduled: June 20,2013; Surgery scheduled: July 17, 2013! Surgery Completed!
Ain't life grand when you can fit into seats everywhere?
The chairs and travelling in seats thing is probably my biggest motivator for having the surgery. I took a flight to Thunder Bay in October, and there was plenty of room to spare in the seat and in the seatbelt, and it was kind of stunning to me. I mean, I figured I'd fit okay, but I didn't think I'd have THAT much room. It was pretty fabulous. I felt like a queen, sitting in my airplane seat, sipping on a glass of red wine, enjoying the view out the window. I still find it amazing how little space I take up in seats these days, even though I'm still not exactly what you'd call "skinny".
