Has anyone had Tom Yum soup broth on the Opti diet?

Referral: Feb. 14, 2013; Orientation: May 16, 2013: 1st RN/NUT/SW appt: May 28, 2013; 2nd RN/NUT/SW appt: July 31, 2013; Dr. Agarwal (internist): Aug. 6, 2013; Post Op Class: Nov. 25 2013; Dr. Reed: Dec. 17, 2013; Surgery: February 13,2014

I hope you can because that sounds goooodddd! Just check that it doesn't have cornstartch or sugars

Many oriental products have a ton of sodium. You would need to check the nutritional info and see if it meets with what you are trying to achieve

I don't have an answer for you but honestly, I would just stick to what your clinic said was on the approved list.  Good luck it looks like surgery is coming up soon!

Here's some info on it----

I know it doesn't specifically answer your question, but you'll have some info when you ask your nutritionist - it lists a serving size of one cup - calories and protein aren't bad, but some versions have a lot of carbs.  Got the info from My Fitness Pal.

 

 

      Still learning.  Currently in pre-op stage.
