I had my surgery on monday, and was able to go home tuesday. I may have rushed it a little bit wanting to get home because i had to go back to emerg today to see the surgeon. My gas pain has been unbelievable. I have been up every hour in the night trying to fart, i have never wanted to fart more in my life! Anyway i know that i will continue to get better, it's just hard in the short term.

My original surgery in 2009 left me with excruciating gas pain.  It was caught up in my neck and shoulders, so was kept a 4th day, in hospital.  What finally helped, besides walking, was GasX strips. Melt one on your tongue.

good luck with the toots :)

Congrats on your surgery!!

I hope the gas gets better soon! I have not had my surgery but I have had laparoscopic surgery twice now.. I know I had a lot of gas and pain.. I used a ho****er bottle at times and laid on my side. I know the gas may not be the same but I thought I would let you know what helped for me for another surgery!
