TWH question
I finished all my appointments last week, and was told that the team meets once a week to discuss patients. My question is, how long did it take you from when your appointments were finished to meet the surgeon? I see some timelines and people meet the surgeon early on in the process.... This is the only appointment I haven't had. I understand that every patient is different, just trying to get a feel for how long it has taken others before I start calling to see what's up.

Hi there! I'm guessing I'm one of those people you mean. I had to meet with the surgeon before going on to further appointments because of my medical history, and the wait for that consult was considerable! But that was just to meet to make sure surgery (VSG) was going to be even possible, before wasting my time and OHIP money on going through all the appointments.
I also got a call a week and a half after my last appointment (psychologist) for my true surgeon appointment.
Referral 08/13, Orientation TWH 09/18/13, SW 09/26/13, NP 09/26/13, Surgeon Appt 12/13/13, MRI 01/06/14, Nut Class 01/14/14, Nut 01/20/14, Scopes 02/21/14, Psych 02/25/14, Dr. Urbach 03/28/14, PATTS 04/15/14, SURGERY 05/06/14!!! 
My psychology Assess. August 14 was my last appointment before meeting the surgeon on September 20 at TWH
But that was because they decided at the very last minute they wanted more blood work, and a couple people from the team who had appointments with me were on vacation that week. The good thing is it went for review on Thursday Sept 12 and they called me the next day Friday Sept 13 with the appointment for the following Friday Sept 20 and I started Opti Fast the Tuesday right after that weekend!!!! and surgery was Tuesday October 15

I also finished my last appointment last week as well, they told me they would call back 2- 3 weeks from now & that they have there meetings on Thursday so hopefully it's sooner, I heard some people got called in the first week. but we will see Fingers crossed
