PATTS TIMEFRAME FROM SURGEON APPOINTMENT
My surgery is on the 21 st and my patts appointment is today.
Referral from Family Doctor - November 4/13 | Orientation date for HRRH - January 9/14 | 1st meeting with surgeon - January 30/14 | Dietician, Registered Nurse, Social Worker Appointments – Feburary 10/14 | Second Dietician - March 11/14 | Dr Glazer - March 20/14 | Sleep Test - March 24/14 | Sleep Test Results - April 15/14 | 2nd Surgeon Appointment - May 13/14 | PATTS - September 30/14 | Surgery Date - October 21/14
I'm in Ottawa so my experience may not be the same as that at TWH. However, I can tell you that at the time I met my surgeon, we had a general timeframe for surgery. I received a call the week after I met my surgeon with my surgery date. It was a couple of months away... and I didn't have a PATTS appointment booked.
They called me about 5 weeks before surgery to give me a PATTS date... and the PATTS appointment was exactly one week prior to my surgery date.
Your experiences may vary, but this is the process I had. Good luck at your appointment with the surgeon! Things are moving along!

PATTS = Pre Admission Testing and Teaching, an appointment approximately a week prior to your surgery where you meet with nurse, anesthetist, blood work, weighed, etc.
