What's the deal with Flintstone Vitamins?

Just curious. How come every appointment I go to, I'm told to take a prenatal vitamin but I see all these YouTube videos of people taking Flintstone vitamins? Do they REALLY do the job needed?  Is ok just to take them?

My advice, stick to what your clinic tells you, not what you see in youtube videos... personally, go with the professionals, they know what they're talking about??

I don't know about your clinic, but TWH is a no-go when it comes to children's multivitamins...

Your clinic should give you a list of choices.  Some of the vitamins we take through the multi vitamin need to be at a minimum level, and children's vitamins don't have high enough levels in them.  They also wouldn't have enough iron either.

Oh I agree with you all. I am taking exactly what the doctor and nurse tells me to take. I was just curious as to why some people only take Flintstones.  

I know plenty of people who have done them and are fine.  But I also know people who had severe deficiencies.  Ontario doesn't recoemsed a kid vitamin and for a good reason - we aren't kids :-) Flintstones lack minerals like magnesium that is important for teeth 

You may be watching videos from U.S. patients. The children's multi's in the U.S. are completely different than the ones sold in Canada and some of the clinics in the U.S. advise their patients to take the U.S. version.
