What type of Calcium is recommended post surgery ?

calcium citrate and preferrable chewable for when you first have surgery.

You can also get liquid calcium citrate. I get mine at Costco and it tastes pretty good.
Right after surgery, you can use the Jamison Calcium Chews. It's not pure Calcium Citrate, but it will be fine for the first couple months. Then you will switch to a Calcium Citrate pill/liquid. It absorbs better than Calcium Carbonate.
