SHoulder Pain

Did anyone experience pain in the left shoulder a few days after surgery ?  If so did it go away or did yo have to go back to the hospital to have it checked?

I think you'd better have it checked out.  A friend had that symptom after a DS & it indicated a leak in her sleeve.

Many people experience referred pain in their shoulder/back after laparoscopic surgery due to the gas they pump into your abdomen during surgery to inflate the area (so they can work the tools inside you). Believe it or not, walking is the best method to get the gas moving (and leaving your body).

If you are concerned and in any way feel unwell, a trip to the ER is in order.

Hopefully it's just trapped gas.
