Just My Luck
I think I've finally gotten to the point where I can laugh about my luck in this whole process. From an original surgery date that was exactly one week too late to work for me then needing to switch centres, to having everyone in my nutrition class get quick dates and my getting dates 3 month after theirs . To the most recent - I should have made it to rounds two Thursdays ago, but didn't hear anything so I called today - my file got lost in a shuffle when someone left, so now I'm found again and I'll go to rounds next week (at least I called now and not after Christmas). Referral May 2014... At least now it doesn't bother me and I'm not obsessed with dates whatsoever. It'll happen when it happens - be in 2016 or 2018... But I'd sure love it to be 2016!
I guess this is for everyone who wants to be through the process in 6 months - you can do your best to call and move dates, but just keep going no matter what obstacles you have to get over. It'll come. Right? ;)

Wow to have your referral in May and now waiting for surgery well??????
fast is not the word. You have flown through this process and seems till now have had few hold ups.
Im scheduled for surgery in January and my referral was in December 2014, with my orientation starting in February.
Once started I thought my process was ok, and yes at times though it was dragging on.
To get from referral to surgery is 6 months is just crazy fast.
Good for you. Most people would love to have your luck.
