New but not really!

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting but I've been stalking you all since I joined in February. I have my meet the surgeon appt next Friday and I'm sooo excited. You are all so inspiring and helpful, I just want to thank you. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Of course I can't say for sure, but I would suggest getting on the cancellation list, and letting the surgical booking receptionist know that you are ready, and willing to go on short notice ...If you can that is.

I did those things and I had my vsg less than 3 weeks after meeting the surgeon

I had my surgery at TWH about 6 weeks ago. All the surgeons there are amazing.

If you have a flexible schedule, when you go to your appointment, make sure you talk to Sharon, the nurse in charge of surgical. She is the one you want to ask to be put on the cancellation list. Let her know you are available to do your pre-admission anytime too, and you know it's only valid for 3 months and if it expires, you are ok with redoing it.

That's what I did, and I got a call from Sharon the following week with a surgery date and pre-op date, and was in surgery two weeks later.
