I've been on Opti for a week now and have only lost 2 pounds....Im scared I won't lose much and the surgeon will deny me or something! I've been good the whole week. Only slipped once by having A small sip of hot chocolate.
Did this happen to you? Is it because I'm on my period? :(

I agree. I think it is your period. Retaining water for sure.

I only lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks, whereas a friend of mine lost about 20 in 2. Results vary depending on a lot of factors, but there's not much you can do if you're a slow loser (like me). Try not to be discouraged just yet- your journey is just getting started and you'll need all the hope and optimism you can get.
When I first started I lost 10 pounds then I stalled. After a week I dropped a bunch again.
Opti is like like alot of changes. We stall. I remember being frustrated and hangry because you just want to eat. You will lose and even if it is not coming off the scale. I am sure the fat is evaperating.
Hang in there!

I only lost 5.5 lbs on 2 weeks of optifast... it's not meant for you to lose weight... that's just a side effect.. it's meant to shrink your liver.. and trust me that is happening....
Don't worry..continue to follow the plan... all will work out fine
