Almost there...8 months later
Hi Everybody,
Today is my birthday and I am 57 years old. I never thought looking back at the last 2 decades that I could wake up on my 57th birthday feeling as fit, slim, and healthy. It is a milestone day. I woke up this morning weighing 146 pounds. I am still 1 pound "overweight" according to the bmi charts. My goal was to be 145, but alas this journey is tough - especially near the end of it. In fact, I have felt, up until about 6 months out, that it was quite easy for me. (I know everyone is different) The past two months have been brutal though with cravings and the scale barely moving. The big thing for me is not to give in and pretend that I am in maintenance which I am not. I still have a ways to go. For today I am content though and grateful to have this opportunity to express myself and live freely in my body once more. It's a good day. I have no regrets.
