HAVE SOMEONE HAD RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGEY AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS WITH THE MEDICAL CARD?

Can you explain what the medical card is? Is it like Medicaid?

I have not had the Gastric bypass yet but I do know that when I had a tummy tuck in 05 my doctor said I didn't qualify for Medicare or Medicaid to pay for it cause it did not cover up my pubic area completly and the skin fold has to touch the mid thigh in order for the ins to cover the cost of the tummy tuck .. Maybe things have changed by now but I don't know... I wish you luck though....

I think much will depend on the issues the skin is causing you as well as who the insurer is. The trick is going to find a surgeon that is willing to put in for the pre-authorization.
