Showers with drains???

Sit on the side of the bed for up to 30 min after undoing your compression garment.  A lanyard around your neck that you can clip all your drains to, and a chair in the shower.  Dr S allows showers the next day, then ointment, gauze and back into the torture suit.  At one point I had 10 drains - 2 were little syringe drains for my face lift.

I needed help with shampooing my hair the first time.  I was never light-headed taking off the compression garment, but others have been, a few fainted in the shower.  Hence the 30 min warning to sit and adjust before the shower.

I used a bungee cord and hooked them to the shower door.

Great ideas! Thanks so much for the tips and tricks. I'm going to head to Salvation Army to try to find a shower seat or a chair that will work, and a walker. I'm thinking that might come in handy in the beginning when you can't stand up straight.

Don't have a husband to help out, but my DD (19) will be available. I guess the thought of soap and shampoo running over the cuts and tube insertion points makes me nervous.
