Pre-op appointment: check. 26 days to go!

Saw my surgeon for the pre-op visit for my May 8th arm lift. Got measured up for my compression garment, received my instructions and prescriptions, asked my lingering questions. Holy crap! This is actually happening!

I made all of this way more hard on myself by accidentally finding a dream house to move into with my boyfriend... on May 15th. I keep warning him that I'm not going to be at all useful for any part of the move or initial unpacking we'll be doing and the fool still wants to merge lives with me!

So, any and all arm lift tips are welcome! I'm doing this one first, and on its own, so that I can enjoy a sleeveless summer. Then, I'll do my LBL in October. I hope I'll be less nervous for that one.

EEEEE!

Yay!

Since I'm about a month after you in this - what were the lingering questions you still had?

I've been reading through old posts and have seen a few people say that scars need to be kept out of the sun for 6 months, a year, other periods of time. So you might want to ask about that with your desire to have a sleeveless summer!

I had more specific questions about how long it would be until I could drive, or go back to work; what kind of pain medication he was going to prescribe; and, if I needed post-op blood thinners (I have a history of DVT).

I did forget to ask if he'd be removing my underarm hair and/or sweat glands. I guess I'll find that out the day of when he's marking me up at the surgical clinic.

25 days! =D

I feel like I asked my surgeon about the blood thinner thing, since I remember I had to do Lovenox after VSG. But I can't remember now what he said. So I should definitely ask that as well! The hair/sweat glands question is on my list too :P

So many questions.
