Fleur de lis Tummy Tuck DONE!!!!!

Can't believe it's over and how wonderful I feel and look from day one. Was terribly scared of the "unknown" and result, and incredibly, pleasantly surprised. Took pain meds every four hours (one) upon arriving home for the first four days (6/16-6/19) and decided to quit due to lack of bm (took colace every third pain med dose and tossed in 2 tbs of milk of magnesia on days 3 and 4 to no pooping avail). I do have two drains and have my follow up appt on Thursday (6/22) . . . .so hoping they can be removed. Drains are so annoying!

I know my wonderful doc (Jeffrey Horowitz) took great before photos and will take after's (which I'll share once I get them) but to date I only have the photo of what he removed . . . . (I'll attach same).

Scheduled to return to work on July 10th, but may choose to go back sooner . . . . as I'm going bonkers at home . . . .

Congratulations! I think a lot of the "pain" for me was uncertainty prior to surgery. It was almost a relief to be finished and recovering since then I knew what I was dealing with!

For me, I've put miralax in every protein shake (1/2 dose) and taken stool softener 3x a day. No issues with BMs. I'm now doing the miralax in each shake and a stool softener with every non-shake meal. That seems to be keeping things moving well.

i'd been silently following you through your journey to surgery and when you'd gone silent (recovering and all) i'd stepped up my personal freakin' out mode until my surgery. so glad all's going well for you too!!!!
