WAiting for the end

I am 9 weeks pregnant today. I had some bleeding on Mother's Day and got checked out. I had a loose, but not open cervical os. The doctor sent me two days of HGC testing. On Tuesday, I stated bleeding again, so I went to the hospital, they did an ultrasound. baby was fine, everything was looking up. 

On Thursday I got a call from my DR saying that my HGC are decreasing and this will end in a miscarriage, but it could take a few weeks for the levels to fall sufficiently to lose the baby. OMG seriously? She is making me carry  a baby that I know is going to die for possibly weeks???

I don't understand why.  Of course everyday it doesn't happen I keep thinking, maybe she's wrong and everything will be ok, but of course in reality it one day closer to the inevitable.

And of course since the weather is warm, the preggos are out in swarms in their tight tops and cute baby bellies hanging out. Everywhere I look there they are. It's just too much.

Thx. The worst part is we told my parents and my mil and FIL. MIL told sister in law, who is always looking for ways to hurt us. With in 10 minutes of us telling MIL, SIL texted the news to the world. She didn't even bother to call and see if DH was ok.

Ummm...your HCG can flatten or decrease around 9 weeks.  If they see a LIVE baby on the ultrasound, that is what matters.  Don't let them tell you that you are losing that baby.  Your HCG won't decrease before the baby passes if that is what is causing it.

Get a new doc.

This makes me shutter to think about. You need to be getting a new doctor. How could a doctor make you go through that???? Bizarre    I hope it works out for the positive. Prayers and hugs

I had my HCG done again this week. They haven't fallen much, On the 16th they were73000, pm the 17th, they were 70000. On the 23rd they were 68000. The doctor called me at work at the end of the day to say the pregnancy isn't progressing, based on the numbers not doubling and to remind me that I am goign to miscarry.

I replied that I have been told that the peak can hit as early at 8 weeks. She said it wasn't true. So I said ok then, where do we go from here? I have been carrying what she considers to be a dying child for two weeks. She replied that they don't do anything for people under 10 weeks. I reminded her that I was 1 day away from 10 weeks. So she set up an appointment for 2 weeks from now and she will decide then what to do.

I think I am going to try and transfer to another dr. I am pissed off that I don't have the right to choose with her.

So frustrated. I haven't had any symptoms of miscarriage since May 15th. I have had tons of preggo symptoms. Argh!

So sorry you are going through this..... We had a horrible Dr 2 weeks ago & said he couldnt find heartbeat & was extreemly negitive & got a new 1 this week & did find heartbeat.  Try your best to keep your head up & stay calm.... Everything may be fine.... I know the waiting is the worst but they should do another ultrasound in a week or so & do some more HGC testing at the least.
