Advice about my revision

For those of you who have been following my postings you know that I will be revised to the RNY next month from the mini-gastric bypass.  Do you think I should ask the surgeon about having a ring or band placed over my stomach as an extra precaution?  Just so you know the doctor will not be doing anything to my stomach since I already have a pouch.  My stoma is supposed to be tighten and I will be having more intestines bypass.
