I had the Stomaphyx by Dr. Garber in NY and it was covered completely by my insurance company.  He said if my insurance had not covered the procedure the cost would have been $8800 for everything.  Try Dr. Garber because he tries hard to get insurance coverage where most other doctors just want to make the cash.  And by the way, the stomaphyx worked amazing.  I already lost 45 pounds and eat very little and always feel full like soon after the other procedure.

Thanks Jonathon for the upbeat message.  I know I have made the right choice about my revision.  I am havng a distal revision with the stomaphyx for the pouch and stoma, therefore the insurance will pay because I am having the distal done on intestines.  I think everyone needs to do what is best for them and quit trying to sell something they havenot  even gotten yet don't you?

HI Jonathan:
Just wondered what type of insurance you carried and if you had to use any special codes to get the insurance to cover it.
thanks,
Sandy
