I"m addicted to Carbs

Hello Everyone,

It has been 9 months since I did the switch, and I am at my idea weight at 170 lbs and I have been there for 4 months. And I haven't gained any weight back. When I eat to much carbs, it causes me to vomit, which happens about 2-3 times a week. I struggle at night time, when bored and watching t.v.  I'm also having a hard time getting in all of my protein and I haven't been drinking any of my shakes, which is not good. How do you guys make yours with coffee with the protein? I need to cook some extra meet and just store it in the frig and snack on that instead of carb's. Thats alot easier to say than to be done, The other thing I need to do, is to start working out at least 20 min a day. I think I need to post in here some more, and to get some support from the vets. I'm am open for suggestions and support. I'm going to the Doctor's office to get my vitimans levels check, the last time I had them check, every thing was good.

Hi, Dan,

I'd like to invite you over to the DS boards.

I make a couple different protein coffee/shakes.

1. Lori's shake
Fill large blender bottle about 3/4 full
Fill about 3/4 full of cold coffee
Add: 2 squirts of Starbuck's SF Carmel syrup
2 packs Splenda
1 1/2 scoops champion stack chocolate protein powder
(I use 2 scoops)
A healthy dose of heavy cream (or half and half)
Shake, shake, shake

2. From Majormom (Gina)
Put about 1/3-1/2 c heavy cream plus about the same amount of
water. (can use 1/2 and 1/2 and omit the water)
Add 2 scoop protein powder (champion stack chocolate OR
1 scoop chocolate and 1 scoop IDS cinnamon vanilla)
I add healthy dose of SF chocolate syrup because I like
chocolate)
Shake well and pour into large cup
Add hot regular or decaf coffee and stir well


3. There's also a great recipe for a shake cake floating around.


Find protein rich foods to snack on.....nuts, cheese, deviled eggs, deli meat and cheese roll ups, salami, pepperoni and cream cheese, cheese crisps.

Dan- I'm cuious why you are posting on the Revisions Board.  I second what Gail said and suggest you come over to the DS Board.
