I had revision from slipped lap-band to RNY with hiatal hernia repair done Tuesday. I am having a horrible reaction to the dermabond they used on my incisions. My belly is swollen and red(almost purple) and the incisions are weeping. I am in so much discomfort. I feel like my skin is going to rip open.
I met with dermatology before discharge and they prescribed a steroid cream to use on the skins surrounding the incisions but not on them directly. It does nothing. The IV Benadryl helped me sleep through the discomfort but the oral benadryl does nothing.

Please tell me someone out there has been through this and has a solution.

I am desperate.

I don't have any experience with this type of reaction, but I hope by now you have gone to the emergency room to get checked out, until you can see your own doctor, you should get looked at right away.
