My surgery is tomorrow...LapBand has been in since 2003, been empty for 2 years due to esphogeal spasms and reflux. Looking forward to getting this out.

Good Luck and keep me posted!!

The sleeve isn't known for having much in the way of problems, mainly leaks or reflux. Leaks are pretty easy to find and they just take time to fix. Reflux is fairly common the first year but tend to decrease over time. If you look on FB there are plenty of failed band groups but no failed sleeve groups so that tells you right there that the sleeve is a pretty darn good option.

I just recently went from a filled band to a bypass.  I am already so much happier.  I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Best of wishes for your surgeries!

With the band liquids were always a problem. I noticed an immediate improvement after my revision.  Water is no problem fro me.  I had moderate pain the evening of the surgery and the next day.  It changed to discomfort the next few days and have had no pain at all after the first week.  I was on an airplane flying home for 5.5 hours 4 days after my procedure.  The biggest hindrance for me is my energy level.  It was in the tank for a long time. I've started noticing significant improvement the last couple days and hoping for even more when I can start taking my vitamins this weekend.

I got lucky and it only took me a couple days to get rid of the gas they blow you up with.
