Racing Heart

I have noticed that my heart races after I eat.  I get a bit light headed as well. it's nothing too major, more annoying and uncomfortable than anything else.  I never get winded or feel like I am going to faint or anything like that.  It doesnt matter what i am eating, it happens. I thought it may be a sugar issue, but it happens even when there are zero grams of sugar.  Is this normal? Something I shoudl be concerned about?  My blood pressure has been fine and I didnt have this issue prior to the surgery.

Ha, I'm feeling that RIGHT NOW.  I never had this issue before WLS either.  If someone finds out, please let me know as well.  It almost feels like the start of a panic attack, but I know that's not it.

Heart racing is a sign of dumping and can be caused by sugar OR fat

It can even be caused by complex carbs.

Yep, Only happens if I've eaten something too sweet or if I eat too fast. It is my form of dumping...mild but bothersome. Cereal gets me every time. You'd think I'd learn!!

Good luck.

But this happens even when I eat fat free sugar free greek yogurt.  Thats why I am confused.  Or egg beaters. Still dumping?

Yogurt is a major carb.  I felt like this after a Healthy breakfast (I thought) and people here pointed out the natural sugars in yogurt.  I add fruit to my yogurt so that adds more natural sugar.
Hope you find what is causing this for you.  I just know now WHY it happens to me.  I still eat my yogurt!
