Seeking answers from the Vets 1 year out or more
I take a dose of NOW psyllium husk fiber and a doze of Benefiber in about 12 oz of drink first thing in the morning. I also use Splenda with fiber for sweetening occasional drinks or yogurt. That plus the incidental fber from fruits and veggies during meals usually keeps things moving. I track how much fiber I am getting. It seems as if it is under 20g or so things slow down, so if I am under 20g, then I take extra Benefiber.
OK, I know this is going to sound crazy, but I eat almonds. I eat them very slowly, sucking on them and then peeling off the skin and eating it first before I eat the nut. It can take me 10-15 minutes to eat 2 almonds. I don't worry about salt so I love love love the Blue Diamond Salt and Vinegar flavored ones.
Since I started this about 4 months ago I haven't had much of a problem.
