You are not going to believe this one!

Surgery was scheduled today at 2:30. Got to the hospital at 12:30 as requested. 2 IV's in. 1 Heprin shot to the stomach and 5 hours of waiting. My surgeon finally came in and said he had a very difficult surgery he just finished. That he needed to send me home and come back in the morning. OMG...Really. On a good note when I weighed in I had a lost a total of 30 pounds since this whole thing started. CRAZY.... He also said I could go out and eat anything I wanted too. Hubby and I ate Chinese. That was the only thing I could think of that I would miss. I was full after 5 bites though. *Good* Anyway, back in the am for the IV's etc all over again.

I know its an inconvenience to you but kudos to your surgeon to recognize he wouldnt be able to give you his 100%

Curious as to why they didn't just leave the IV in and just lock it off.  But glad your surgeon knew to call it quits while he was ahead.  Good luck tomorrow! 

I asked them to leave the IV's in and the surgeon asked too. The hospital wouldn't let us. Oh well. Ya I was glad cause he looked really tired too.

First one in the morning means you won't get bumped again.  I was glad I went first when I had surgery.
