Blue Cross Blue Shield (NC)

Does anyone have this insurance for their surgery? How long did it take to get approval? Did you have to appeal?

I have Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, I'm not sure if that's the same thing or not.  I'm still waiting to submit all my paperwork.  I have one weight management visit left to complete first.

I have the State Health Plan through BCBS.  My paperwork was submitted late on a Thursday evening and I was approved the next Tuesday, so really less than three business days.

Good luck and don't get discouraged with all the testing and paperwork!!!

I have BCBS of NC and it only took 2 days from the time my info was submitted til I got a call to schedule surgery!
