I am going in tomorrow for an EGD to see if I have a stricture and/or ulcer. Wish me luck!

Best of luck to you tomorrow! I had one a few months ago and it was a fairly easy procedure. I was home and feeling pretty good in no time at all. I hope they are able to find and treat whatever is bothering you!

Thanks everyone! It was a stricture. Dr. Sudan was out of town, so Dr. Portenier did it. He said he dilated it from I think 11 to 18 mm? He said from about the size of a dime to a quarter, so I am not sure. He said sometimes they have to go back in and do it a 2nd and 3rd time....Let's hope not! I am home and feel pretty good. Just feelin a little sick on my stomach and tired from the round trip totaling 6 hours, not including the time at the hospital. But they are great.
